We don’t work from a booking-site list. Every stay on our routes has been slept in, argued over and checked again — the shower pressure, the breakfast, the walk home at night. If a place stops being good, it comes off the list.
We met the way a lot of good trips start — a wrong turn, a shared table, and a conversation that ran until the kitchen closed. One of us grew up between the Danube and long European winters; the other grew up at the foot of Rinjani, where the sea is a fifteen-minute ride from the rice fields.
Hello Asia Trip came out of the questions our friends kept asking us. Where do we actually stay? Who do we trust with a boat? Is it worth going all the way east? Instead of writing the same long messages over and over, we started planning the trips ourselves. Today we do it full time: we answer your messages personally, we ride the routes before we sell them, and we work with guides, drivers and cooks we’ve known for years — and pay them properly.
We’re not a big agency. That’s the point — you’ll always know exactly who is on the other end of the chat.
